COUNCILLOR MICHELLE STECK — DECLARATION
OF INTEREST
497. Mr J.N. HYDE to the Minister for Local Government:
I have a supplementary question. As the minister said he was
aware of some complaints, exactly —
Mr G.M. Castrilli :
No, I didn't say that at all.
Mr J.N. HYDE :
Exactly how many complaints to the minister's own department —
Dr M.D. Nahan interjected.
The SPEAKER : Member for
Riverton, the member for Perth is on his feet asking a supplementary question.
I do not need to hear from you either. I formally call you to order for the
first time today.
Mr J.N. HYDE : How
many complaints to the Department of Local Government or to the minister about
breaches of the code of conduct by Councillor Steck has the minister been
informed of or been made aware of or sought information on?

Since 1 July this year, we have received 29 complaints for
this term. For the previous year—during the 2011–12 financial
period—we received 239 complaints, and I could not name every single
one of those complaints and whom they relate to.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER :
Member for Perth!
Mr
G.M. CASTRILLI : I will tell the member for Perth that if he is serious
about that issue, I will get back to him and tell him how many complaints we
have received about Councillor Steck.
Mr P. Papalia interjected.
The SPEAKER :
Member for Warnbro!
Mr J.N. Hyde : If
you have done the research to know there are 29, you know who and you know
what.
Mr G.M. Castrilli :
