PERTH FREIGHT LINK — STAGE 2 PROPOSAL —
PREMIER'S COMMENTS
910. Mr M. McGOWAN to the Minister for
Transport:
I have a supplementary question. Has the project been
shelved, as the Premier claims, or has it not been shelved, as the Treasurer
says; and, why is the Premier constantly undermining the minister's
position?

I think that sort of question is out of order. If the
opposition wants to ask the question directly of the Premier and the Treasurer,
it is more than welcome to do so.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER :
Members!
Mr D.C. NALDER : As
the Minister for Transport, I am committed to continuing to work on the best
solutions for transport in Western Australia.
Mr P.C. Tinley interjected.
The SPEAKER :
Member for Willagee!
Mr D.C. NALDER : As
I said, we are delivering record investments and a record number of solutions
for the people of Western Australia.
Point of Order
Mr
M. McGOWAN : I draw attention to the standing order relating to
relevance. I asked the minister whether it has been shelved, as the Premier
claimed, or not shelved, as the Treasurer claimed. It is a fairly simple
question, I would have thought, and I would appreciate it if the minister
answered it.

Mr D.C. NALDER :
The Leader of the Opposition can ask the question in whatever format he likes
and I can answer it in whatever format I like.
Several members interjected.
Mr D.C. NALDER :
What number is the standing order?
With regard to this project, I am continuing to work on the
additional stages through to the port.
Mr M. McGowan interjected.
The SPEAKER : That
question is finished.
