SENIORS' BENEFITS — PENSION INDEXATION
715. Hon SAMANTHA ROWE to the
minister representing Minister for Seniors and Volunteering:
I refer to significant cuts to concessions and rebates for
seniors at both state and federal levels. In light of the serious impacts that
these cuts will have on our seniors and the ongoing public objection from
seniors groups —
(1) Is the
state government now prepared to publicly oppose the federal government's
changes to the indexation of age pension increases?
(2) If no to (1), why not?
