(4) 9145 female teachers were employed in government primary schools on 22 February 2007. Numbers refer to individual teachers (heads) and include teachers working on full-time and part-time basis. Numbers relate to all categories of teaching staff, including classroom teachers and school administrators such as principals and deputy principals. Teachers on approved leave are included.
