HOSPITALS AND HEALTH
CAMPUSES — WHEATBELT — 2020–21 STATE BUDGET
1111. Hon COLIN de GRUSSA to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I ask this question on behalf of
Hon Martin Aldridge, who is away on urgent parliamentary business.
I refer to the article ''WA
State Budget 2020–21: 4 Years of Delivering for the Wheatbelt'',
published on the ourstatebudget.wa.gov.au website, and to the listed health
investments, including $5.23 million for the Jurien Bay Health Centre, $5.3 million
for Moora Health Service and $17.7 million for the Merredin District Hospital
and Narrogin District Health Campus.
(1) How much of these listed
amounts were expended prior to the 2020–21 financial year?
(2) Were each of these projects
announced and funded under the former Liberal–National government?
(3) Was the minister aware that the Treasurer, in a desperate
attempt to pretend that the government is delivering for the regions, is
now dressing up projects announced years ago as budget announcements?
(4) In the
interests of gold-standard transparency, will the minister set the record
straight in his response to this answer in the Legislative Council?

I do have an answer to this
question, though I am not 100 per cent sure of its accuracy, so I undertake to
provide a response to the honourable member as soon as possible.
