PINJARRA — BRUNSWICK SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY
I refer to question on notice 6145. Could the minister please describe how the South West Development Commission has increased the availability of its staff to assist local groups in the Harvey-Brunswick area with its range of services? Hon KIM CHANCE

AnswerView source ↗

I thank Hon Nigel Hallett for providing some notice of the question. Until 2006 the Shires of Harvey and Dardanup were serviced by one officer based at Collie. In 2006 the South West Development Commission reviewed its deployment of staff, based on the development of the draft Pinjarra-Brunswick sustainability strategy. A regional coordinator was then deployed specifically for the Shires of Harvey and Dardanup. The position was created from a review of internal management positions.
