I refer to the recent recall of trains from the Pink Line, Chicago US, due to faults in wheel bearing housings, and ask -
(1) Was the Public Transport Authority aware of the recall and faults in the quality of casting used to create wheel bearing housings prior to this question?
(2) Has the Public Transport Authority assured themselves that this does not have any implications for the Western Australian train fleet?
(3) If no to (2), what action will the Public Transport Authority take to address this issue?
