830. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Premier:
I
have a supplementary question. Has the Premier or his government sought to
undertake any research on the impact of the nature positive plan in
dollar terms for Western Australia?

As the member says, the nature
positive plan is a range of different ideas that could be part of the final
legislation when it comes out, so, no, obviously, we have not done planning on
concepts or ideas. It is a package, and from that perspective, obviously, we
are not able to nail down every aspect of that package and the impacts it would
have, but we do know that it would have a negative impact. How do I know that?
It is because I am directly engaging with the business community of Western Australia
to understand its needs and how it can continue to make Western Australia a great
place to live and the strongest economy in the nation, and how we can continue
to make sure that we are providing great jobs for Western Australians in a growing
economy.
