Between 30 June 2006 and 30 June 2007, the number of cases on the Metropolitan Elective Surgery Wait List, excluding Joondalup and Peel, reduced by 2,588 to reach 10,538, and further declined to 10,332 as at 30 April 2008.  The median wait time on the list for this period also declined from 3.48 months at 30 June 2006 to 2.60 months at 30 June 2007 and to 2.50 months at 30 April 2008.
