I thank the member for some notice of the question.
The following answer has been provided to me by the Minister for Finance
and was correct as at 18 November.
(1) Since pre-enactment on 21 March 2025 until 18
November 2025, 2,266 transactions had benefited from the concessional first
home owner rate of duty applying to a new home purchased in the Perth and Peel
regions.
(2) For the period 2025–26 to 2028–29,
the Department of Treasury and Finance estimated the change would benefit
around 4,100 first home buyers per financial year in the Perth and Peel
regions.
The following answer has been provided to me by the Minister for Finance
