I thank the member. I thought I might get quite a few questions today. I am glad the member for Wanneroo has been prepared to ask me a question, even though obviously the outraged opposition is not. I will report briefly to the house on the important conference that was held over the weekend at the Claremont Showgrounds. A total of 400 Perth residents, who were randomly selected from across the metropolitan area, spent a day discussing our vision for the coast. It was an enormously positive conference. The people who attended showed a great deal of enthusiasm. They were not the usual suspects; they were people selected at random from a variety of areas. They had a most interesting time engaging in discussion on this issue. One of the key points that emerged is that people want very good access to beaches. They also want free parking; that received one of the highest ratings. They also want more public transport. There was no real appetite across the board for high-rise developments along the coast. However, there was some acceptance of the need for some medium to high-density developments in some nodes. Having done some of the broad vision setting, we are now convening four separate workshops to focus on different parts of the coast, including that part of the coast in the electorate of the member for Wanneroo. The workshops will take place over the next month to give people the opportunity to decide how they can take the general principles and provide a good plan for all competing uses of the coast.
