Mundijong Road and Kulija Road
723. Hon Dr Brian Walker to the parliamentary
secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer the minister to the roads package announced for Kulija
Road in the southern suburbs.
(1) Can the minister
confirm that the City of Rockingham has approached Main Roads with a proposal
to hand responsibility for sections of Mundijong and Kulija Roads over to it
and, if so, when was that approach first made?
(2) What timescale, if any, has been set for a
response from Main Roads and what, if anything, is delaying it?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question. I provide the following answer on behalf of the Minister for
Transport.
(1)–(2) Yes. Main Roads is undertaking a
classification assessment to confirm whether Mundijong Road and Kulija Road
would meet the criteria to become a state road.
