continuing concerns raised by the Law Society of WA regarding the Office of the
Information Commissioner's failure to cope with the high volume of freedom of
information decision complaints.(1) Is the Attorney General aware that the
Standing Committee on Public Administration tabled its 34th report in November
2020?(2) Is he aware that the committee recommended the
Attorney General undertake a review of theFreedom
of Information Act 1992and that this was not done?(3) Is he aware that in 2022, Commissioner
Fletcher provided a comprehensive submission to the Attorney General to
undertake a "wholesale review" of the FOI Act?(4) Is he aware that the committee tabled its 38th
report in February 2023 recommending that the Attorney General undertake a
review of the act and table a report within three years?(5) Is a review now finally underway?
