With reference to the Burrup Peninsula Management Advisory Board, I ask -
(1) Can you confirm that this Board was established on 1 January 1994 and terminated on 20 June 1997?
(2) If no to (1), will you advise of the correct dates?
(3) Can you provide the terms of reference of the board?
(4) Will you advise of the membership of the board during its life?
(5) If no to (4), why not?
(6) Will you advise of any resignations from that board and the reasons given for those resignations?
(7) If no to (6), why not?
(8) Will you table the minutes of the meetings of the Board?
(9) If no to (8), why not?

(2) Letters inviting membership of the Burrup Peninsula Management Advisory Board were sent out under the signature of the Hon. Colin Barnett MLA, Minister for Resources Development, following a Cabinet Decision made on 6 June 1993. Cabinet approved the winding up of the Board on 16 September 1996. (3) Yes. [See tabled paper No. ] (4) Yes. The board comprised representatives of the following agencies, departments, and industries: Department of Resources Development; Department of Conservation and Land Management; Department of Planning and Urban Development; Department of Aboriginal Sites; Dampier Port Authority; Shire of Roebourne; Pilbara Development Commission; Hamersley Iron; and Woodside Petroleum. In addition there was one member representing the local community and one member of the Roebourne aboriginal community. (5) Not applicable. (6) Over the period the Board was constituted, one aboriginal community representative resigned for personal reasons and proposed an alternate aboriginal representative who was then appointed. Several agency and industry representatives resigned as they either retired or moved to other responsibilities within their organisations.
