(6) During the last six months (November 2006-April 2007), one plant disease, i.e. Impatiens downy mildew, was recorded in the State. During this period post border detections of at least 20 exotic pests, mostly plant pests, were recorded. These included: African powderpost beetle, Anobiid beetles, Auger beetle, Bamboo borer, Bamboo longhorn beetle, Black-spined toad, Borer beetle, Bostrychid borer, Boxwood borer, Cherry aphid, Chinese auger beetle, European wasp, Exotic spider, Khapra beetle, Lesser coconut weevil, Lettuce aphid, Malayan powderpost beetle, Olive lace bug and Potato potyvirus Y.
