The Minister acknowledges no formal recording requirement exists but a new policy is being implemented. One case was reported in the Ministerial Office in 2004-05.

For each Department and Agency under the Minister’s control, including the Ministerial office, will the Minister please advise of the following -
(1) Is there a requirement that complaints relating to workplace bullying are officially recorded?
(2) If not, why not?
(3) For each Department or Agency, how many cases of bullying in the workplace have been reported in the years -
(a) 2003-2004; and
(b) 2004-05 to date?

(1-2) Currently there are no requirements that complaints are officially recorded, however the Department is implementing a new Workplace Issue and Grievance Resolution Policy which will require all formal grievances (including harassment and bullying) to be recorded on a formal Grievance File.
