In relation to all agencies, departments and trading enterprises within the Minister’s portfolio of responsibilities, could the Minister advise: (a) do any of these agencies, departments or trading enterprises maintain a register of gifts or benefits offered to employees but not accepted; (b) if yes to (a), which specific agencies, departments or trading enterprises maintain such a registry; (c) if yes to (a), how long has the register been maintained; (d) if yes to (a), what is the dollar amount at which employees must register an offered gift or benefit; and (e) if yes to (a), through what means or mechanism do employees register a gift or benefit offered to them but not accepted?

Department of Parks and Wildlife
(a) Yes.
(b) Department of Parks and Wildlife.
(c) Since December 2009.
(d) All gifts or benefits offered to employees must be registered whether accepted or not accepted. There is no dollar amount below which registration is not required.
(e) Employees register gifts or benefits offered to them but not accepted by accessing an on-line information system.
Department of Environment Regulation
(a) Yes.
(b) Department of Environment Regulation (DER).
(c) The register has been maintained since the new agency was established, 1 July 2013.
(d) The minimum value for employees to register a gift is valued at $100.
(e) Employees of DER complete a form and submit it electronically for approval.
Office of the Environmental Protection Authority
(a) Yes.
(b) Office of the Environmental Protection Authority.
(c) 2007
(d) Any gift regardless of value is placed on the Gift Register.
(e) Employees abide by the Code of Conduct which expressly requires the registration of all gifts regardless of value and regardless of acceptance or not. The Code of Conduct requires employees to complete a Gift Declaration form.
Office of the Appeals Convenor
(a) No. Corporate support for Office of Appeals Convenor, including the maintenance of a register of gifts or benefits offered to employees, is provided through the Department of Environment Regulation and Department of Parks and Wildlife.

Swan River Trust
(a) Yes.

(c) From 15 December 2009 to present date.
(d) All gifts/benefits are to be recorded.
(e) Offers recorded in SRTs Gift/Hospitality Register. The method of disposal for accepted gifts is also recorded.
Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority
(a) No. However, a register of gifts accepted is retained.
(b) Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority (BGPA).

(d) Gifts that exceed $50 including GST.
(e) Gifts accepted that exceed $50 including GST must be disclosed to the relevant Director and retained on BGPA's gift register managed by the Executive Officer.

gifts by officers commenced in 2010.
