Mr. Hyde questions the lack of future funding for heritage and maintenance of arts buildings after 2011, following a $1.7 million allocation in 2009-2010. The answer indicates funding was allocated for a four-year period and a new submission will be made for future funding.

I refer to page 670 of the 2009–2010 State Budget, under
New Works
and I ask:
Given the absence of any funding for Heritage and Maintenance in 2011–2012 and subsequent years, after spending $1.7 million in 2009–2010, how will this impact on all heritage arts buildings after 2011?

The Heritage and Maintenance funding was allocated over a four year period between 2007-08 and 2010-11 at $1.7 m per year. It is anticipated that a submission will be made as part of the 2011-12 budget process for additional funding for heritage and maintenance priorities.
