1403. Hon SUE ELLERY to the
Minister for Agriculture and Food:
I refer to the announcement that the board of the Perth
Market Authority has been replaced by an interim board.
(1) Did the
minister, or anyone from the ministerXXX ###XXXs
office or from the Department of Agriculture and Food or the Perth Market
Authority, have any discussions or correspondence with members of the outgoing
board about their tenure before the change that was announced on 27 November
2015?
(2) If yes to (1) —
(a) who had the discussions or
correspondence, and when;
(b) what was the nature of that
communication; and
(c) will the minister table
records of that communication; and, if not, why not?

had a number of discussions with the chair of the board regarding the change
announced on 27 November 2015. The director general of Agriculture and Food had
discussions with the chair, and briefly attended the Perth Market Authority
board meeting on 30 October 2015.

risks for several scenarios for board resignation, appointment of a new board
and Perth Market Authority operations.
