927. Hon KATE DOUST to the
Minister for Commerce:
I refer to a letter the minister sent to my office regarding
Mrs Erin Borgfeldt and Weeronga Village entitled ''Constituent's
Complaint against Alchera Living'', reference 44-06974.
(1) Could the
minister please provide an update on the current standing of the investigation
into the financial status of the association and its capacity to meet its
financial obligations?
(2) When will the full investigation be completed?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) The
investigation has almost concluded. The association has satisfied the
Department of Commerce of its capacity to meet its financial obligations.
(2) The
department expects to complete its investigation within the next fortnight and
is presently seeking to meet with the complainant to inform her of its
findings.
