CORONAVIRUS —
REGIONAL AIR SERVICES
353. Hon COLIN HOLT to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to a recent briefing
provided by the WA Country Health Service at which it was mentioned that
pathology samples requiring air freight from areas previously serviced by
regular public transport airlines will now be done by a commercial service.
(1) Which WACHS
regions have historically relied on RPT services to freight medical supplies,
including pathology samples?
(2) Where RPT
services have reduced or ceased, please identify the commercial service or
services that are now utilised and the form of the transport.
(3) For the Albany services in
particular —
(a) which company was awarded the
contract;
(b) what tender
or expression of interest process was undertaken to identify the successful
company;
(c) what days of the week will this
contract operate; and
(d) what is the budget or cost of the
contract?
