CANNING RIVER ECO EDUCATION CENTRE — FUNDING
I refer to an article printed in the Canning Times on 2 March with the heading, “Anger at funding cut”. (1) Will the Department of Education continue to fund the $80 000 education officer position based at the Canning River Eco Education Centre as of 30 June; and, if not, why not? (2) Does the minister acknowledge that the programs offered at the centre have been popular, and that the centre is well used? Hon PETER COLLIER
