I refer the minister to his answer to my question on Tuesday, 7 August concerning the Burswood Casino in which he advised that the Government has determined there will be no satellite casinos outside Burswood.  The minister will be aware that the Casino (Burswood Island) Agreement Act 1985 differentiates between casinos within 100 kilometres of Perth and those beyond 100 kilometres of Perth.  Does the term “satellite casino”, referred to by the minister in his answer, refer to a new casino outside a 100 kilometre radius of Burswood Casino or to any new casino in Western Australia? Hon N.D. GRIFFITHS

The term “satellite casino”, strictly speaking, refers to a satellite casino.  Perhaps I should assist the Leader of the Opposition by pointing out that it is not the Government’s intention to have another casino.
