I thank Hon Nigel Hallett for some notice of the question. The Minister for Police and Emergency Services has supplied the following answer — (1) The police station is normally open Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. However, there may be occasions when the station is closed during these times while police attend to operational requirements. (2)-(3) No. (4) No. In response to operational requirements, Narembeen police will assist other subdistricts such as Bruce Rock and Merredin in activities such as integrated patrols. Accordingly, these subdistricts may also be deployed to assist Narembeen police as required. The wheatbelt traffic unit is also deployed to Narembeen as part of the district’s drink-driving strategies.
