I thank the member for the question.
(1)–(2)
As the member knows, the mental health services are moving into the new Midland
Health Campus run by St John of God Health Care. In fact, it is expanding, so
it will have the range of services there. The community-based mental health
services are moving from the Swan District Hospital site to be a street front–type
service. The community-based mental health services will be away from the
current Swan District Hospital, and both the elderly and the adult inpatient
services will be in the new facility. The member's question was: why
would I want to keep mental health services on the site?
Hon
Samantha Rowe : Will you
retain any mental health services at the site?
Hon HELEN MORTON : There are no plans to retain any mental health
services on the site.
