KUNUNURRA — FORESHORE RESERVE LEASE 41812
I refer the minister to land lease arrangements at foreshore reserve lease 41812 located in Kununurra. (1) Is the minister aware that Celliston Nominees has pursued a long-term lease? (2) Is the minister aware that the Shire of Wyndham-East Kimberley has supported an offer of a 10-year lease with a further 10-year renewal option to Celliston Nominees? (3) If the minister was aware of these facts, why did the minister’s answer to question without notice 140 state that the company was after a short-term lease only? (4) Why will the minister and the Department of Water not support the 10-year, plus the 10-year option, long-term lease proposed by the shire? Hon KIM CHANCE
