FEDERAL–STATE RELATIONS
75. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Premier:
I refer to answers the Premier gave
yesterday in question time in which he said, ''We were celebrating a great
partnership between the federal and state governments'' and going on to
note terrific cooperation between this Western Australian Labor government and
the federal Labor government. If the state government's working relationship is indeed as terrific as the Premier
has claimed, why is he wasting taxpayers' funds on establishing the embassy in Canberra? Is this not a mark of irrelevance that no other state
suffers?

The premise of the question is
incorrect. We are not establishing an embassy in Canberra.
