LORD MAYOR OF PERTH — CORRUPTION AND CRIME
COMMISSION REPORT
112. Mr D.A. TEMPLEMAN to the Minister
for Local Government:
I have a supplementary question. What is the minister trying to hide,
and why is he sitting by and allowing the standing of the role of Lord Mayor
and the City of Perth to be stained in this process?

AnswerView source ↗

As Minister for Local Government, I make sure my
local governments implement the Local Government Act 1995. That is exactly what I am doing. I understand
there is a fair bit of public dialogue out there, but the department is doing
its work, and I am confident we can get to the bottom of it soon. But, what is
more important, let us make sure we get this right.
Mr
D.A. Templeman interjected.
The SPEAKER : Member for Mandurah, I call you to order for the first time.
