I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. The following response has
been provided by the Minister for Creative Industries.
(1) The total cost was approximately $52,000—invoices
are still being finalised—shared between the Arts and Culture Trust,
Home Fire Operations and Screenwest, with the Arts and Culture Trust's
contribution being approximately $17,333.
(2) The Minister for Creative Industries, Simone
McGurk MLA, attended the event along with approximately 430 local and national
screen industry representatives. The event was part of Perth Film Studios' efforts
to engage industry.
(3) It was held on Thursday 19 February 2026 for three
hours, commencing at 6:00 pm and concluding at approximately 9:00 pm.
(4) Alcoholic and
non-alcoholic beverages were available to purchase. Food and beverages were
provided by Gather Foods, with finger food provided to the guests.
(5) There are active discussions with potential
customers from local, domestic and international markets looking to use the
studios for feature films, returnable TV series and unscripted productions.
