(c) Policy requires that all corporate data be maintained on the network drive and this is subject to network security policies on access and management. The potential cannot be ruled out given the nature of use of laptop computers, however the likelihood is low.
(d) No specific arrangements were in place other than policy. This was identified as an issue in a security audit 12 months ago resulting in the subsequent actions to improve the situation.
We are currently purchasing physical locking devices to minimise the likelihood of theft and we are actively pursuing data encryption options, initially for higher risk devices and long term for all devices.
