RESTRUCTURE — SERVICE PROVISION
147. Hon SALLY TALBOT to the Attorney General
representing the Minister for Emergency Services:
I refer to the recent announcement
that the Bureau of Meteorology will axe regional staff from its WA stations.
(1) Has the
minister given consideration to whether the axing of staff will impact on the
capacity of bush firefighters to get accurate and timely information about
local weather conditions?
(2) If so, what advice has the
minister received and does the minister believe this advice is accurate?
(3) If no to (1),
why not?
