(1)  The Department of Education's fleet budget for 2009-2010 has been reduced by  $289 000 since last year's State Budget.
(1)(a) Not applicable.
(2) & (3) Additional fleet savings have and will be achieved by:
- Not replacing 20 vehicles.
- Replacement of operational vehicles with a cheaper 'whole of life' cost.
- Ceasing access to the Government Vehicle Scheme (GVS) for Level 8 and equivalent officers.
- Reducing expenditure on the washing of vehicles.
