VISA RESTRICTIONS — REGISTERED NURSES
335. Hon KEN BASTON to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the article on ABC online
from 25 March concerning graduate nurses who are unable to assist in the
COVID-19 response due to visa restrictions.
(1) Has ''registered nurse'' been added
to the graduate occupation list for the state-nominated subclass 190 visa?
(2) Has the
minister made representations to the commonwealth to ensure that qualified
nurses in this position will be able to work in the WA health system, as
suggested in the article?
