The Department of Local Government and Regional Development made 505 grants in the 2002/2003 financial year totalling $20,150,236. Those projects still in progress or newly completed are yet to be acquitted. Acquittals are required within 12 months from the date of signing the agreement. The Kimberley Development Commission made 8 grants in the 2002/2003 financial year totalling $87,181. Those projects still in progress or recently completed are yet to be acquitted. Acquittals are required within three months of projects being completed. The Pilbara Development Commission made 15 grants in the 2002/2003 financial year totalling $445,140. These projects are still in progress or recently completed are yet to be acquitted. All acquittals are due by the end of the financial year of application. The Gascoyne Development Commission made 14 grants in the 2002/2003 financial year totalling $103,803. Those projects still in progress or recently completed are yet to be acquitted. All acquittals are required within 6 weeks of projects being completed. The Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission made 13 grants in the 2002/2003 financial year totalling $415,786. Those projects still in progress or recently completed are yet to be acquitted. Acquittals are required within six weeks of projects being completed.
