LIVE EXPORT — SHEEP INDUSTRY
1319. Hon NEIL THOMSON to the Minister for Agriculture and Food:
My question without notice, of
which none has been given, is directed to the Minister for Agriculture and Food.
I
refer to a recent address at the Pastoralists and Graziers Association in which
the minister expressed her frustration about
the confusion relating to the misrepresentation or disbelief of her support for
the live sheep trade. To paraphrase somewhat, the minister asked how
many times she had to express her support.
(1) Does the minister feel
underappreciated by the industry?
(2) Is the minister up for the job
as the Minister for Agriculture and Food?
Several members interjected.

(1)–(2) President,
I do not do this job to get appreciation from certain elements of the sector; I
do it to do what is best for Western Australian agriculture and food.
