In relation to the uptake in staff numbers between 2010/11 and 2011/12, Western Power has continued to increase its work program. There were 15,512 wood poles replaced in 2011/12, an increase of 22% compared to the previous year. Between 2010/11 and 2011/12 Western Power's overall works program grew by over 20%. This corresponded with an increase in staff numbers to deliver this program. Western Power expects to continue its ramp up of wood pole reinforcement and replacement over the next 5 years of AA3.
