QUADRIPLEGIC
CENTRE — REDEVELOPMENT
432. Mr R.H. COOK to the
Minister for Health:
I ask a supplementary question. In March the minister said
that if he did not get this new centre up, it would be a significant sign of
his failure. Given that this is reportedly the ministerXXX ###XXXs
last budget as the Minister for Health, is it not time he hung up his boots
now?

Unless the member knows something that I do not know, I
expect that this is not my last budget.
Mr R.H. Cook : The
Premier said youXXX ### XXXre resigning a year out from the next election.
Mr C.J. Barnett : I
never said that.
Dr K.D. HAMES : I
am not resigning a year out.
Mr C.J. Barnett : I didnXXX ### XXXt say that at
all.
Dr K.D. HAMES : The
Premier is saying that he did not say that at all. The opposition keeps going
on about me getting ready for retirement. I keep saying that I have a huge
number of things that I still have to complete before I go. I am working harder
than I ever have to make that happen. That is one of the things I am doing.
