(1) I refer to the transfer to Esther foundation of St Emilies convent Kalamunda in 2010, in order to run programs, a considerable time has elapsed since this occurred yet it remains unoccupied, and I ask, when will the foundation be required to occupy the premises? (2) A meeting was scheduled between the Department of Housing and Esther Foundation in late September 2014, concerning the future of the building, can the Minister outline what was agreed at that meeting?

The Department of Housing advises:
(1)
The Esther Foundation and Community Housing Limited are currently negotiating an agreement for works to be undertaken at St Emilie's to enable it to be used for the delivery of services to young women at risk of homelessness. Subject to the execution of the agreement, it is anticipated that works will be completed to allow services to commence within 18 months.
(2)
It was agreed that further time would be provided to allow the Esther Foundation and Community Housing Limited to finalise negotiations to enable the execution of the agreement.
