(3) - (4) It is WA Police policy to operate speed cameras: · At or near locations that are subject to road crashes. · At locations of 'speed related complaint' that demand a positive response to inappropriate or unsafe driver behaviour. · At locations frequented by vulnerable pedestrians e.g. school zones, hospitals, nursing and retirement homes. · At locations where there is a demonstrated need to reduce travel speeds by at least 5kph in support of the states "Arriving Safely Strategy". · At locations (in accordance with the above criteria) where other speed measurement methods (hand held laser) cannot be used safely by personnel. (5) Please refer to the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure.
