EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
AMENDMENT (TEMPORARY COVID-19 PROVISIONS) ACT
538. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the Leader of the House representing
the Premier:
I refer to the letter to the
Standing Committee on Environment and Public Affairs dated 4 May 2023 in which
the Premier states that provisions in the Emergency Management Amendment
(Temporary COVID-19 Provisions) Act 2022 automatically expire two years
following the commencement of the act.
(1) On what date will the provisions
automatically expire?
(2) Will the Premier unequivocally
commit to not extending these new powers when they expire?
