I refer to a letter dated April 3 2003 from the Minister for Indigenous Affairs concerning sand mining by CSR Limited (Readymix Holdings Pty Ltd) on Mining Lease 36/7 -
(1) Can the Minister explain the reasons and justification as to why you have exercised your power under section 18(3) of the
Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972
declining consent for CSR/Readymix to resume mining operations on Mining Lease 36/7?
(2) If no to (1), why not?
(3) Will the Minister table a copy of the letter dated April 3 2003 sent to CSR/Readymix and any other letters sent to this company by the Department or Minister in the last 24 months?
(4) If no to (3), why not?
