I thank the honourable member for
notice of this question.
The Minister for Transport advises
that the Liberal–National government has a strong track record of
delivering road safety outcomes for the community. At the end of the 2011–12
financial year, some 82 school zone sites had been treated, 75 of which
occurred under the Liberal–National government. This year's
program will see an additional 61 school zones treated—double the
number delivered in the last financial year—as a direct result of the
Liberal–National government's decision to spend 100 per cent of
red-light and speed camera collections on road safety projects.
(1)–(2)
The member is advised that a list is available to the public on the government
media statement website—www.mediastatements.wa.gov.au.
(3) A recommended program was provided by Main Roads and
approved by the Minister for Transport.
(4) The member
should refer to his previous question without notice 602 asked on 17 August
2011, as this information has already been provided.
