(b) is the Premier aware that because of the ‘Australian and New Zealand Government Procurement Agreement’, Clarkes Building Company, a long term Goldfields employer missed out on a $1m Homes West contract in Laverton in favour of Alice Springs company, Murray River North, which was 1% cheaper than the local builder; (c) is the Premier further aware that the Murray River North Building Company is in fact based in Pinjarra Western Australia and only has a shopfront in Alice Springs that allows them to tender as an interstate company and thus override the buy local policy in accordance with the terms of the ‘Australian and New Zealand Government Procurement Agreement’; (d) will the Premier intervene in this matter by declaring that the Murray River North Building Company is in fact a West Australian based company and not entitled to override the ‘Buy Local Policy’ by evoking the terms of the ‘Australian and New Zealand Government Agreement’; and (e) will the Premier now consider pulling out of the ‘Australian and New Zealand Government Agreement’ on the basis that it provides no benefit at all for Western Australia?
