(a)   The investigation is nearing completion.
(b)   Completion is expected by the end of June 2026.
(c)   At a regional scale, interim findings indicate that areas north of the Swan Valley (including Muchea and surrounds) and to the south (near Aveley and Dayton) are potentially suitable for managed aquifer recharge in the Leederville aquifer, subject to further local scale investigations required to confirm suitability for specific sites.
Investigations have led to updates to aquifer maps, new depth to watertable maps, and new information on storage potential of the Superficial, Mirrabooka, Leederville and deeper systems.
