muja ab power station — Decommissioning
I refer to the recommissioning of Muja A and B units that occurred last year to deal with the gas crisis. (1) When is the government intending to fully decommission these units? (2) What process is to take place for such decommissioning? (3) What power supply will replace the decommissioned units? Hon PETER COLLIER

I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) Units 4 and 3 of Muja B were recommissioned in July-August 2008 respectively. Muja A was not required; it was not actually used. Muja B will be decommissioned on 31 March 2009. (2) Muja AB will be placed into care and maintenance until the future of these units has been decided. (3) Muja AB was required for the 2008-09 summer peak period only and is no longer required.
