(2) Under the Draft Forest Management Plan (July 2002), a total of 1,109,790 hectares or approximately 50% of the area in (1) occurs on land categories where timber production is permitted. (3) An estimated 94% of the area of ecosystems in (2) is forest with the potential for timber production. (4) Under the Draft Forest Management Plan (July 2002), the area of jarrah, karri, and wandoo forests available for timber production outside of formal and informal reserves is approximately 902,860 hectares.
