GOVERNMENT FEES AND CHARGES — PUBLICATION OF IMPACT
For each of its budgets, the former Labor government used a representative model to clearly outline to Western Australians the impact of the government’s decisions on household fees and charges. Noting this month’s Western Australian Council of Social Service report on the rising cost of living in Western Australia that states that household expenses have risen four times faster over the past year than household income, does the Treasurer intend to continue to publish with his budgets the impact of increases in government fees and charges on the representative household model so that Western Australians can accurately measure the impact of the government’s increase in these back-door taxes on their household budgets?
