PUBLIC HOUSING — WAITLIST
638. Hon Dr BRAD PETTITT to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Housing:
(1) How many
applications were on the public housing waitlist at the end of June and July
2022 respectively, and how many individuals does that represent?
(2) How many
applications were on the public housing priority waitlist at the end of June
and July 2022 respectively, and how many individuals does that represent?

On
behalf of the Leader of the House, I thank the member for some notice of the
question and provide the following answer on behalf of the Minister for
Housing.
(1)–(2) As at 30 June 2022, there were 19 070 applications
on the public housing waitlist, representing 33 563 people . This
included 4 141 priority applications, representing 8 374 people. As at 31 July
2022, there were 19 103 applications on the
public housing waitlist, representing 33 644 people. This included 4 212
priority applications, representing 8 519 people.
