I thank
the honourable member for some notice of the question. The following response
has been provided by the Minister for Creative Industries.
(1) A total of $15,714,306.67 was spent.
(2) The main works contract was
negotiated with the preferred contractor from the early contractor involvement
and enabling works tender process.
(3)–(4) Revitalisation of the heritage-listed
building started on Monday 6 January 2025, following the official closure of
the venue on 21 December 2024. Works include demolition of the southern
forecourt car park and investigation works, including structural penetration
testing and services decommissioning. These works deemed the site unreliable
for operation during that period.
