I refer to the Albany ANZAC Interpretative Centre, and I ask:
(a) who are the members of the ANZAC Implementation Group;
(b) how were the implementation group members chosen;
(c) what will be the process for deciding who will manage the interpretative centre;
(d) what work has been done to determine who has the capacity to manage the interpretative centre;
(e) how much will the State Government contribute in funding for the construction of the interpretive centre; and
(f) has any consideration been given to what may be placed at the original site planned for the interpretative centre overlooking King George Sound?

Department of the Premier and Cabinet advises:
(a) The membership of the Anzac Centre Implementation Committee (ACIC)
comprises the following -
• State Director, National Commemorative Events
Department of the Premier and Cabinet (Chair)
• Deputy Commissioner
Department of Veterans' Affairs
• State President
Returned and Services League (Western Australia)
• CEO and State Secretary
Returned and Services League (Western Australia)
• Chief Executive Officer
City of Albany
• Chief Executive Officer
Western Australian Museum
• Executive Director
Department of Finance, Building Management and Works
(b) Members were chosen through liaison and subsequent agreement with
relevant stakeholders (State Government, Federal Government, RSL and the City
of Albany). Consideration was given to which organisations needed to be
involved to ensure delivery of a financially sustainable, world-class Centre,
on budget and in time for November 2014.
(c-d) The ACIC will consider a range of management options compiled via a
business analysis study commissioned through consultancy firm GHD, in
conjunction with the input of its own members and their respective
organisations.
(e) The State Government has committed $2.2 million for the
construction of the Centre and $250,000 towards delivery of the online
component for the Centre.
(f) The ACIC is supportive of the provision of some form of shelter and
interpretive material to be installed near the flagpole lookout on Mt Adelaide,
however no funding is currently allocated for this. The ACIC would consider
utilising private sponsorship funds to deliver this component should they
become available.
